A little about me

My name is Katie, and I am a mother of three, a paediatric nurse for over 18 years and have just completed my Master of Nurse Practitioner in general paediatrics. I work alongside multiple consultant paediatricians in Brisbane to provide access to specialised health care for children from newborn onwards.

Throughout my career in healthcare, I have had the privilege of working across a spectrum of acute and tertiary care settings. My journey has taken me through peri-operative services, high dependency and neonatal care units, as well as into schools, communities, and private healthcare.

Throughout my journey, my unwavering dedication to providing heartfelt and compassionate care has always been my guiding principle, rooted deeply in a strong ethical foundation. I cherish the meaningful relationships I've nurtured and the reputation I've earned over the years. These experiences have not only refined my skills but have also gifted me with a profound understanding of the intricate connection between family dynamics and health care. how the health of the family is interwoven with  vital connection between healthcare and the intricate tapestry of family dynamics. Each encounter has my perspective, making me deeply appreciative of the unique bond between healing and the warmth of family.

I am dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve and am passionate about contributing positively to the healthcare community.

The initial year after childbirth is undeniably both challenging and profoundly rewarding. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to assist numerous families during their most vulnerable and unforeseen moments. My dedication lies in collaborating with parents within an open and pragmatic atmosphere.
